where do i look for a new 2.7l petrol for 1984 lux

i want to up grade the old 2l in my hilux for a 2.7l efi ( used a lot so opting not to go the commy 6) where is the best place to find one, have found lots of new 2.4l and 2.2 but can not find new 2.7l can anyone help
recent mods include removal of all panels and replaced with balloons, a deck chair and a couple of stick mags. wanna RIDE

try a couple of wreckers u should be able to get a complete 1 with all the bits under the bonnet for about 1500 maybe a good 1 with low k's

by new do u mean the vvti 2TR-FE outta the new workmate hiluxs and new hiace vans? ud be lookin at some dollars for one of those.
Or are u talking the 3rz outta the last shape hiluxs? try some commercial wreckers, 4x4 wreckers, should be able to get one for $1500-2000 with everything u need including the bellhousing.

i am looking at the 3rz but was looking for a new crate motor or good aftermarket. Might have found a place in china that exports to Aus waiting on a response. Cheers for the help

Try Brissy motor imports a Wacol , if you can pick the motor up yourself , they sent mine 300kms the wrong way on a friday :bad-words:
