I think everybody on here prefers the natural stuff...competitors inluded (myself included for that matter). The portable man made stuff we have got is all about bringing this sport to the general non4wd motorsport people that wont travel out to the middle of nowhere to see what we can do.

Hopefully what we have planned for Willowbank with a sprayed concrete coure should appeal to everybody...but we will leave that for next year.

is the same weekend rnd 3 tough tracks is on
OK - I dont really have another date to work with so it looks like we will have to run this date but we wont try to push things with a man made event at Willowbank. Basically between Tough Tracks and the AFL grand Final we are probably best to do the man made thing next year. We will run a natural course somewhere at one of the 4wd parks

The site we have got at Willowbank is a perinant site and we will do a perminant sprayed concrete course along the same style as what we did with the rockhammar crew at the 2006 National 4wd Show in Brisbane. Next year will suit better anyway...more time for us to get our shiat together.

So all rounds this year will be on natural terrain and we will leave the portable stuff to the demonstrations...doing a demo this weekend at the Gold Coast Home Show & Outdoor Adventure Expo - http://australianevents.com.au/content/ ... ory/32/52/ and also the following weekend at Toowoomba at the 2008 Queensland Outdoor Adventure & Motoring Expo - http://australianevents.com.au/content/ ... ory/33/82/ We are just taking up a few of the smaller structures to the Goald Coast show this weekend and if all goes well we should be taking a container to the Toowoomba show.

it is gunna be a very small demo and probably not worth a trip specially to see it..it is more of a "feeler" before we see if we can take a full on container to the Toowoomba show

although the mini man made RC course should be good and i am lookin forward to handin it to Big Tom again

who's gonna be there this weekend? TV Advertising shows the "crazy rock crawling vehicles"

I was thinking of popping in on saturday for a bit. Is it going to be a continual thing or only at certain times?

If you can get yourself organised early enough and well enough, you could do a really good course at Willowbank and not have it cost you the earth to build it.

A bit of networking and a lot of time would see it come together well.

Just confirmed the first round will be at Rover Park..

Round 1 - 27th,28th September - Rover Park, Tenterfield, NSW

Should be a good one...this event is in during the school holidays so Rover Park is guaranteed to have lots of people there. So if you are keen come to the event and need cabins then you should book sooner rather than later... www.roverpark.com.au

The Bathurst round has been cancelled.

And date and location of the final event isnt certain either.

The lack of information, lack of promotion and lack of certainity in what we are doing is really due to a change in direction in how this sport is run...its not being run and driven and pushed hard by myself to suit sponsors. Its just being run to suit competitors without any sponsors...its just a fun thing. I guess, at this point,it isnt being run to suit spectators either with the lack of certainity and lack of information and I appologise for that...the change in direction this year should place us much better next year to get things firing again.

The cancelling of the Bathurst round was very unfortunate but under the circumstances was the right thing to do.

The final round at Walbundrie on the 22/23 November doesnt suit the council and so the only date that we can have at Walbundrie is the weekend before on the 15/16 (this is being sorted out in the past week or so). Now this date doesent suit alot of the competitors so we are now discussing whether we are better staying with the origional date and moving location or the new date and origional location.

so that is the entire coverage of the event? Can't seem to find any info of the event or reports on it , pics etc. Surely some sort of coverage/reporting would help make these events stay in peoples minds prior to next years revamped efforts. Seems a bit disappointing that this year, due to whatever reasons, has just disappeared from the radar of competitors and spectators alike.
