Brake Proportioning Valves - different between 75 and 80

Post by jsttry »

Just a quick question, are the brake proportioning valves the same between the 75 and 80 series? Only difference I can see is that the rod that goes down to the rear axle is a different angle on the 75 series as its mounted up on the side of the chassis rail.

Can this angle be adjusted?

on mine, it was pretty hard to mount it after the coil conversion and the upper links get in the way of the link rod. is there any reason why i shouldn't just make a bracket that goes above the link rod with a threaded rod to adjust it up and down based on the weight of the truck. Bearing in mind that while it's a ute it will almost always be carrying the same weight now that it's a dedicated play vehicle.
