safari diff tech questions

Post by fertgtrtt »

Hi i want to fit front and rear safari diffs under my hardbody.I will run my normal t case and add 720 transfer .
I need to know is the auto hubs standard and are they good.
Are there differences in diffs between the years and which are favoured. Is the big one much stronger than the small one?
Is the handbrake always fitted to t case .My problem is the fit cables to rear drums are i wont be running safari case. Can you mod the hub to fit handbrake cable or what else can i do to get handbrake working.
Thanks

The remote transfer case fitted to the MQ/MK's is the same as the unit fitted to the 720 except that it has a transmission style handbrake drum on the rear output and is 'clocked' to provide an ofset output that the MQ/MK' require. It might be possible to use one of these if they are available over there??

Forgot to add that you will need to fit MQ/MK pinion flanges to the safari diff's as they are larger than the 720 flange.
