tb42 fuel pump question

Post by DUDELUX »

im changing the fuel pump on the gq tomorrow and i know its 2 bolts and 3 hoses, but where the pump fits into the engine block(its got kind of like an arm with a spring). does that arm fit in with a piece inside the block or does it just sit there?? if i bolt it on and connect the hoses it should be right?? any help will be used.
i checked owners manual and stickys at the top of the nissan tech page and couldnt find answers there. i searched tech pages but couldnt find anything.

thanks

that arm just goes in and is driven by a cam off the oil pump, it just gets pumped up and down to run the diaphragm inside the fuel pump, so yes hook it up and go.
