does anyone use these! ther quiet dear but just wanting to know how they perform! i want to us ethiem with 7" lift and i think they make shocks at that lenght for a GU!

fox shocks
Fox is a very reputable brand.. havent used them in a car before but i've had a fair bit to do with them on mountainbikes and they seem to have very good workmanship. They are also used a fairbit in the U.S with the baja style racing trucks

I got 2.5"x12" Fox air shocks in my 83 MQ currently. Friggin' love them man!
Got rid of the leaf springs altogether, went 3 link front with panhard and 4 link triangulated rear....the whole truck rides on the Fox shocks. No probs at all and I flog it hard. Truck performs great off road and on pavement. Going up to a 2.5"x16" in the not to distant future. My truck flexes like mad and even at high speeds (or what I think is high speeds) off road she does great.
No complaints at all...top quality product! Yes they can be a pain to tune but it gets easier the more you do it. You just need a co2 tank and you can tune them however you want. Love being able to adjust ride heigth and stiff/soft of the shock anytime I like. Very sick suspension...highly recomend to anyone. But my truck is not a daily driver...for that coil overs would be required with perhaps some disconnect sway bars.

hey mate i had some 2.5 bypass on front 2.5"smoothie at rear on my nissan and loved them. bought '13' more for the buggy!
2" is ok for general use / slow rocks but too small for racing. 2.5" with stiffer valving is the minimum for racing, and most fast guys are running 2x2.5 at each corner or 3". in the states some 2000kg buggies use 4.5" at the rear. depends on speed, weight, and event length, and terrain.
the 2.5's on the back of the nissan were way too soft standard and caused the rear to hop.
on the buggy i am using 2'5 coilovers all round, 2.5" bypass all round and 2" bump all round and it will weigh about 1400kg.
brent is the guru though, I get mine through him.
