Use the Vitara power steer brackets and pump.. Should bolt straight to a Vitara G16.
BenT (I think?) does a wedge bracket to mount Vit PS box to Sierra chassis.
Drop puitmans are available from a few suppliers or maybe use Toyota Tarago.
Search does work, you might have to try a few different combinations of words to get what you are after.

even with a hi-steer kit the pitman arm should be factory... i've looked into power steer on mine, but it really doesnt need it... im running 31x10.5's and it steers really well - for the cost associated with power steer i just couldnt justify it...

jimny power steering box is a direct boltup to the sierra chassis but good luck finding one. vitara power steering box needs a wedge to be inserted between the chassis and the box and it needs the pitman arm changed over.

if you use the vitara power steering box use the toyota pitman arm or buy a drop pitman arm, if you use the jimny power steering box the arm is the right one in the first place. both will work with a spring over but you are better off going high steer conversion.

how do i convert to high steer? also how do i know what steering setup i have? im acelly not realy shure what it has. is it worth going to histeer?

what toyota model is the pitman arm off for the vitara powersteer box?
or is a drop pitman arm better?

looking on http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/samsteering.htm is that the drop pitman arm i need? if i got vitara steering box?

says

Sidekick/Tracker Power Steering Gear Box Drop Pitman Arm
A solution for running power steering with the stock steering setup. Specially splined for the Sidekick and Tracker steering boxes while retaining the stock tie-rod connection for the Samurai factory or aftermarket Samurai steering setups. The 1 piece forged arm is stout and ready for the trail! 2.5" drop.

Price: $125.00

also i take it the splines on the sierra steering rod go into the vitara or jimny box?

$350 is pretty good. I'm fabbing up my own wedge out of aluminium, i've shaped it i'm just deciding whether to tap holes for bolts from both sides or countersink some bolts into the wedge.

yes making one seems the go i think ill have to see.

i loooked closer at my steering and it seems the pitman arm only drops about an inch. if i get that 2.5inch drop pitman to suit the vitara power steer am i going to have any problems?
