LS1 PCM control nissan auto

Post by killalux »

I don't know if anyone has ever tried this, but would it be possible to set up a LS1 PCM to control the shift solonoids in a nissan auto. Obviously the shift points would need to be re-maped to suit the different ratio's, I am just not sure of the solonoid switching arrangement of the 2 transmissions. would require some more research i spose.

I think potentially it could, the shift outputs are used for a shift light in a manual trans tune, basically its just switching outputs based on road speed RPM and load.

Hmm ok, so if i can re-configure each output it could therotically be done. But i spose the question is is the nissan auto that much better than a 4l60e to make it worthwhile??

4L80e is better than both, the 1st gear ratio is a bit average but they will handle 600 hp stock and up to 1200 hp when modded.

would suit what I want to do perfect
would make putting an auto behind a manual 4.8 an easier option cause of all the extra shit that would just bolt in with the nissan.

See what happens though I spose
