Post by pcman »

ive managed to snap the main shaft in my thomas pto winch head this is the 2nd one ive see this happen to i have a spare but its already twisted at the keyway

sooo im wanting to get a stronger one made outta some high tensile steel or something

its 32mm in diameter 495mm long with 4 keyways 30mmx9mm and 50mmx9mm 2 at each end more mesurments if someone needs them

powauto 147 greens road dandenong
very helpfull

there new shaft is actually a high tensile or something so they claim but they said the older winches its common to twist the shaft but mainly when there used hydraulicly

so $285 for the shaft
i also brought new keyways as mine where twisted slightly
and new seals and gaskets ill also replace the bearings but im sure i can get them cheaper from a local bearing joint
