hey guys/girls, havent been on this forum for very long so i hope this isnt a really stupid question, i have searched through alot of pages and havent found what i was lookin for.
how high can i lift my hilux (1992 model ,leaf spring back and front) before i need to do other things as well,
like brake lines
tailshaft spacers
and all the other ajustable parts on the market.
i dont want to lift it so far, then take it for a spin on a trail, and break something out in the middle of no where just becouse ive over looked something.
im planing on doing a 2"leaf lift,2"body blocks, and some extended shackles.
thanx for your help in advance, dazza.

few question on lifting a hilux

2in springs and maybe a 2 in body would be enough wouldn't bother with longer shackles as then you'll need castor wedges for the front longer shockies all the way round extened brake lines all round stick to the 2in suspension and 2in body and there will be very little amount of exrta work if any
plenty of parts on the bench
Re: lux
What so your going to cut the steering box out are you? 35`s hit it on full compression left hand lock. Plus there is the tyre hitting the spring pack on unless the steering lock is limited. Oh and then there is the whole back of the wheel arch/fire wall.cashy wrote:grinder will fix that you will need flars any way
You could unbolt the front guards and your still going to have major hitting issues with 35`s.
Yeah before my diff was moved 50mm foward it was at 35mm and ate the guards something shocking the worst bit is where it hooks under the body mount on the cab theres a decent lip there had been close to tipping it sometimes as it'd lock up. 50mm Foward plus for 35's is the go
