rtc steering dampers

Post by khany427 »

hi all just wondering what your opinions are of rtc steering dampers.

are they worth the extra few bob?
and apart from the obvious what are the pros and cons with them. how are they on vs offroad?
i also run 35x13.5 tyres aswell.

cheers!

not worth the xtra dosh. all they do is make your steering heavier. can see no benefit from a standard aftermarket one.( yes i've had one.)

i have one and the only difference i noticed was slightly heavier steering. i will prob end up replacing it with a better quality normal style dampner.

X3. I took mine off and replaced it with an OME damper. I found that the RTC damper was 'springy' when cornering at low speeds. Looks bling, but much happier with my OME damper.

Fix your steering problems. Then just get a normal one.

the damper is just too small, you are better off getting a standard type like an ome damper, or you could get the new adjustable ones, but they are not cheap.

they are only there to help mask the problem.

SET UP YOUR STEERING CORRECTLY then you wont need gimmics.
