brake light wiring

Post by islandvitara »

got all my lights workin except the brake lights when u press the brake pedal. now is it as simple as wiring it into 12v power so that the power is always there or find a circuit like headlights and wire it into that?

its just one thing i missed when i did the wiring in my sierra.

any advice?

yeah tail lights work when parkers are on it just when u press the brake pedal the brake does nothing...

i then had a look under the dash at the brake pedal switch/button and it is not connected  so i was wondering what circuit to wire it into.

Theres a green wire that runs from the 15A fuse at the fusebox(live always) to the brake switch on the pedal and from the other side of the switch to the brake lights.
Check you have a good eart too!
