Double cardan joint for fj40

Post by sprungupcruiser »

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone could help me on this issue. im looking to buy just the actual double cardan joint for my fj40. I was just going to try and get that and do a box section driveshaft myself. Its an off road only truck so it will be trailered every where. I called drive line services on the northside of brisbane they said they wanted over $400 bucks for one which i thought was very steep. Any suggestions would be great, thanks in advance.

Tires are like boobs, they always look big until you have played with them for a while, then you just want a bigger set

some 60 series have them... the ones that do use hilux uni's, so there shouldn't be a problem/

picked up another one today, a 60 series front driveshaft with the double cardan joint on it for $30. i was pretty chuffed when i lined it up on my 40 and found that it will fit very nicely for the rear driveshaft, might need a spacer. Im sure i haven't discovered anything new but i enjoyed that little win on a friday arvo. thanks for the help guys.
