I need to get two new CVs for 94 4 Runner.

Repco do them for $218.00 each with a 5 year un conditional guaruntee.

Where do you guys get them and is one brand better then another?

but if its dinky di... then i would get those! u will save a fortune on cv's in future!!! u wil never have to buy another!

If ya lookin for strenght tho then get longfields (dunno if they make ifs ones tho)

They don't make longs for the ifs. that guarentee will be for the joint if you snap the shaft of the end of the bell part of the cv or smash it to peices i'd say they put it down to abuse if you take it back and it's clicking and so on then they waranty it. We fit a fair amount of them at work mainly FWD cars not 4x4's haven't had a drama with them yet.

Thanks for replies, $218 each is pretty expensive especially if they will give grief come warranty time. Will keep looking.

a mate ran the repco ones in his locked 4runner with 33's and they kept faling to bits :cry:

Find some genuine Toyota ones.
Even second hand gen ones will be stronger than any aftermarket CVs.

That was my thought too, there must be some s/h luxes out there that have never engaged 4WD.

Yuri4x4 do strengthened CV's for IFS. Very strong.

I bought chinese complete front driveshafts (inner, axle,& outer CV) for $180 from a local CV joint place.

2nd hand ones are usually about $125 ea

I have 2X pairs of IFS CV's both sets cud do with new rubber boots but r mechaically fine. R off dead standard surfs that I have wrecked for parts. If ur interested send me a PM, Im not looking for much.
