Im currently duel fuel in my GQ lwb Patrol, i have a 350 chev in it and therefor nearly always run lpg, question is, can i remove the sub tank and fit a 2nd lpg tank and does it have to be the same size as the existing tank? Also once the holley is removed what can i use for the butterflys?
Currently has a new gen sprint gas ontop of a 750 holley.
Cheers
Paul

Twin lpg tanks
Re: Twin lpg tanks
yes, you can fit a long skinny tank. Even better if you have bodylift.demo2 wrote:Im currently duel fuel in my GQ lwb Patrol, i have a 350 chev in it and therefor nearly always run lpg, question is, can i remove the sub tank and fit a 2nd lpg tank and does it have to be the same size as the existing tank? it can be any size, does not have to be the same as the 115 litre.
you use the base plate from the holley for the butterflys. ( pull the holley apart ) i would toss the sprintgas and tun a 425 impco on it ( or two)

I have a GQ LWB. It has a 92l tank in the rear. I am fitting a 49l usable to the underfloor. I have fitted a 2inch body lift to fit the biggest tank possible without compromising 4x4 ability. The tank is a APA M80. Its 800mm long and 355mm round. I have it on order and should be here in about 4 weeks. I am having it connected with one filler hose to do both tanks then a switch where I can empty each tank individually.
Currently I have an AiRod gas sytem and I am going to fit an impco 425 to an EFI manifold. I just cant get the AiRod system to hold tune and give decent performance. I will post pictures once I have the gear fitted.

you can get them from any company that supplies reground or NEW camshafts for chevs.demo2 wrote:Marine cam made by who? is it worth runnin 2 impco's on a virtually standard engine? only thing different is CR is 10-1
you can get a mercruiser one, but it would be very pricey.
on a standard engine, all you need is a single 425.
