loss of revs

Post by esp22 »

Hi guys, every now and then when driving my landcruiser, it seems to lose revs and regain. This makes the car jurk back and forward when moving. The same problem happens when idle, the revs stay at normal level, then drop suddenly for a split second then go back to normal...anyone know what the cause of this?would it be fuel pump or injector related?

thanks

That sounds like it is fuel pump related. The diaphraghm in the pump might have a little hole in it. Someone on here should know more than me.

fuel filter perhaps another option. does it have any kind of idle raise for ac or ps etc which could be malfunctioning?

It sounds like it could be fuel related.
check /replace, your filter, and after that, your fuel line for air leaks.
