New Swb build.... well maybe

Post by Grantw »

I am on the verge of taking the plunge into my 10th Swb paj build.

This one will be a little different than the others. It will be based around the Evolution Pajero.

My questions/queies are:

Do they run "normal/average" diifs or are they unique to the Evo? (for locker possibilities)

Do they have the old style body on chassis design or is it the newer monocock design?

My aim is to have a very mild build on this one. A pair of lockers hopefully, suspension lift and some 265's.

Plenty (well some) available here.

One chap was even making lift kits for them, but I think he has sold it. As far as I know they still had the chassis.

nope. Thinking of importing my own. I want a clean one, and am willing to hunt hard for the right one.
Plus, the ones here are way overpriced.
And, I would like a red one.... rare.. they go faster

Would you import it from NZ?

They do look like fun. I'm wondering where the extra 50kw comes from! They do have the MIVEC head on the same basic 3.5 motor I believe.

I'll PM you an email address of a guy here who has had heaps of pajero's, his last was an evo lifted and modified a bit. You can contact him if you wish, I think his was a red one & last I saw it was for sale.

im just looking at a japanese site that has a pajero evo set up for racing . definatly a seperate chassis set up.

link to site- http://translate.google.com/translate?h ... %26hl%3Den

that will take you to a translated home page and there is a list on the left of the page, go to demos, its in the custum section. looks like they specialise in mitsis, even a few turbo jtops.
