hey mate, im looking to do the same thing with a warn high mount, i just purchased a 6hp 12volt motor from arb in rockhampton qld, and talking to russell mason it seems that it will be fine, im still trying to figure out the best way to set up the system so that only the winch and secondary batteries run 24volt through them, the only trick i was told is that when the winch is under load dont continuosly winch in just tap click the button for a while then let it slow down and repeat the process this way the motor wont spin to fast and burn out, hope that kinda helps
