4wd Systems long range tanks

Post by JontyG »

Hi All,

I see 4WD Systems sells a 90L aux tank, to replace the sub-tank.

http://www.4wdsystems.com.au/html/tanks.htm

I would love to hear from anyone that has fitted this tank - interested to find out about:

- Clearance (i have ~3" suspension lift, and run 315/75 BFG MT's)
- Installation (any issues?)
- Accuracy of fuel guage after install
- Quality; and
- Generally any notable issues

I'm looking to fit something like this when I do an LPG conversion in the near future.

Thanks,
Jonty

my 93 GQ has a tank similar to this fitted, it hangs down maybe an inch below the chassis rail and has a slight ding on the inside near the tailshaft.

clearances are pretty tight also and whoever fitted it didnt bother to remove the trailing arm bolt and reverse it so the bolt head is on the outside, so in order to remove the trailing arm im going to have to remove the tank.

unsure of the capacity of mine, it has got a welded on badge i'll have to get under and see what brand it is.
