The presentation i now a bit of a blur....

1) Logan Districts - Congrats to Steve Carrell and crew...

2) SOC Racing - which I am very proud to be a part of!!!

6) Gold Coast 4wd Club - unfortunately had to compete for about 1 1/2 days with only two cars after 'hydro-locking' one. Otherwise would have been a place getter.

12) DDD - The Southeast QLD Deaf 4wd Club

Thats about all I remember.

I'll type more when I wake up more

we had three joined straps and two cars to pull the Pajero up that bloody thing..... pity the paj had broken a front axle, hence the lokka wasn't working.

what a huge event!!!!

Big congrats to Ian and Toni (and your army of helpers) for having the park as good as it was. Some rain to keep the dust down would be good for next time!!!

From what we saw of the comp it looked like great fun, the wanker factor was relatively low too, except around our campfire GRIMACE :D .

We might have to get a team together for next year.

The wheelin adventure was the funniest, our lux has zero travel. Sorry for those competitors who way we were in for a minute, the track wasn't signposted as part of the course.

Not sure how you drove that ginger, Whant you cant see is my car at the bottom of the hill wondering if he was going to land on top of me. It makes you start to wonder when you see your team mate come that close to going and your next.

that was probably the biggest downside to the event was the tracks being open for spectators while we were trying to complete courses in unrealistic DNF times at 20 Km/hr.

Sorry we didnt make the night stage as it sounds like it would have been fun, i am glad my wheel came off when it did rather than at speed with spectators around  that would have been fun!!!!

manked is an understatement

I had a ball, didn't see much, but that is my fault as I stayed within 30m of our fire all day/night except to collect more wood...

Have to say, seemed to be a rather laid back event, which is a good thing IMO.

To Ian & Toni, for allowing this event to take place at your wonderful 4x4 park. I will be back next year and will no doubt visit a few times in between once I get my rangie sorted. Well done and thanks for having us.

Cheers

Unrealistic DNF times??? We didnt have a problem with any of the DNF times. And i know at least one team on the Saturday finished every stage. And we could have easily finished ever stage on the Sunday had we not had a few mechanical issues with fairy hands rig :D I thought the max speed of 20ks between stages was perfect. Would have been great if some teams stuck to the 5km/h speed limit in the camping ground though

Only stage we timed out on was the tyre winching stage but that was Guts's fault because he has no idea on how to winch tyres :finger: Should have listened to me and Sloshy :finger: :finger:

Yeah that was me - Kevy's.... standard 22R with over 300,000 ks on it. Double locked on 33's. Did well, drove everything he needed to. I like the mid mounted high mount set-up he's got going.

He saw yours pull in and nearly blew......

Yeah Guts :finger: We spent most of the time arguing and no winching  Great team, had a ball, never driven the hilux like that at speed before,(it felt fast anyway) it was awesome fun just wanted to keep going around the night stage, just need to disconnect the hydro though for that sort of thing  Can't believe we did that well with the attitude we had and what about the compass stage wtf? can't believe that
cheers Dan

I love arguing with you pretty boy, makes you spit the dummy :finger:

Funniest thing for the weekend was winning the compass task. Before we started we ha to ask how to use it  and then we got sick of walking around so gave up and said lets go driving

Worst part of our team was Ben, or was it the Nissan? mmmm nar they were equally the bad part of our team :finger:
