Sounds good. Let us know the next step and when to order etc and all is good. I assume you'll be in contact with them and supply the list or something like that if we are all going to order individually.

Yes let us know what to do next.

I think I will opt for the green display instead of the red as in your current list (with the long probe of course).

Green face & long probe for me if it's not too late to jump on the list

Might have to start a new list if it's too late as I don't think it will take long to find another 10 buyers ;)

Haven't measured yet but I'm going to have a crack/llok at mounting it in the original clock opening, got a clock in my headunit. Other option is in the ashtray opening, other option is put a cover on the storage tray under the single din headunit and fit it into that. If all that fails I might get one of those Marks Adaptors roof consoles above the sub tank console and mount there. Or replace the plastic screen where the sub gauge is, put a new perspex cover on and mount in that where the altimeter was. Or if all those options fail I'll build a little box and sit it on the dash somewhere.

Thing I like about these unit is the settable alarm so doesn't really need to be in immediate line of sight as some suggest a pyro should be as the alarm will tell you waht you need.

For those fellow 80s owners, I am planning to fit mine in the dash above the radio (and below the clock) in that useless little slot (that is only big enough for a bank card) that some of the overseas models had a pull out drink holder in. Its the perfect height to slot in there with a bit of infill each side. This of course will only apply to those with the later (post 95) dash.

I'm tipping there might be a chance that it'll cut into the ashtray front face but if not then yes a small bit of ally or stainless correctly shaped will make a nice face to slot it into. Same for the closk hole, in this case I'm talking pre 95 model of course.

Fark!

at this stage he is not totally keen on our origional plan. apparently the prices he gave me was if i was an importer, and their group buy price is higher, at a guess 5 bucks.

They also only want to send 1 bulk package, 1 bulk payment, etc etc.

My concern with this is if we get 23 sent out in one package we will be above the threshold which will mean customs want to process it and charge gst and duty.

The auber guy is happy to send 3 packages to keep them below the threshhold. but its changing the whole dynamics and re posting etc.

I will keep you all posted, but at this stage it looks like ill have to act banker, collect all the money (which is what i was hoping to avoid) have them sent to me then Tonka in post bags to everyone. or we split into 3 groups have 3 people who chase the payments and Tonka. do we have 2 ither volunteers?

Not sure if its really worth it, but i will try to see if I can get him to come to the party.

once again fark!

Going from previous experiences, here's my 2c.....

Hanko, you should take delivery and dispatch from your house.

MAKE A CUT OFF DATE - END OF STORY!! Otherwise it will be christmas before it happens. Just set a date and time, end of story, no exceptions.

Find a costing for postage, flat rate, regular. Everybody will pay $xxx for their parts, and then everybody pays the same amount for postage, regardless of whether you're 10km or 1,000km away.

Receive ALL payments before you forward an order to your contact. I still have shit at my house that people never paid for.

Once the monay is colected (ALL of it), forward your order, receive the order, receive it, re-pack it and then post them out.

Any differences in postage price you can keep for yourself and buy a beer or two.

Coxy
