Pajero 2inch body lift.....
Hi, i wanna do a 2inch body lift on my 1996 nk pajero lwb and it already has a 2inch suspension lift, will i need to make hoses or cords longer in the engine bay, like brake cords, and ac cords.... for it to reach up to 2 inches without strecthing anything too far???
cheers

I just sold my 94 NJ and i fitted a 2 inch BL and 2 inch Spring lift to it.
I had to adjust the trans tunnell to allow the lever to go into L4, and 2nd,4th, and Reverse which is pretty common, other than that, Remove the bottom of radiator shroud. and that was it.
Shouldn't be too much difference between the 2 i wouldn't think.
I found that all hoses and wires had enough play in them.

There is enugh length in the brake line, so you shouldn't need to worry.
When pulling mine out, i asked my wife to lower the jack.
I forgot to mention SLOWELY
As the body came down it hit the solid brake line that goes through the inner guard and cut the line in two.
Mitsubishi dont sell these anymore, but i was able to pick up one from my local wrecker for $20.
Have fun

Not sure if yours is the same, but on mine.....
There was an oval in the rear bar where the towball came through. by cutting the base out of the oval, i was able to bring the bar up.
The tow bracket was bolted on by 4 bolts, 2 at the top, and 2 at the bottom. 2 inches apart
You can lift the bar, so that the 2 bottom bolts go in the 2 top holes, and then drill some new holes at the top for the other 2.
I left my towbar down however, as otherwise it would have been to high for my trailer.

Dave you can probs look around and find some body lift kits around or the internet, i got mines off the UK ebay for 70 euros which all together with shipping was $198 Aus, and yes if you do a 2inch body lift my hoses and brake lines were long enough so you should be fine 2 also if you have a LWB then there are 12 mounting points.
heres the link for the lift kit:

With a REALLY BIG HAMMERDalluke wrote:Final question how do you make space in trans tunnel?
I made 2 cuts with the grinder about 1/2 an inch long, at the rear (closest to back seats) of the gear shifter hole in the floor. One on each end, then got a pair of vice grips, and bent it down and tapped it with a hammer to open the shifter hole up by that 1/2 an inch.
I then shaved the plastic centre consol to achieve the same purpose, and as the metal based rubber sound boot wouldn't go back on because of cutting, i put some waterproof weed mat and duc taped it down to seal it from river crossings, then just sat the boots over to help with deadening the noise.
Hope this helps
Cheers, Daniel

I did a body lift on my nk and entended the shifters by 2 inches and made bends in them to suit so when sitting in car you would have no idea a body lift was done all rubber boots were saved and bolted back in to same holes and no trimming of centre console was required. dont dodge it up do it properly.
Did mine on a hoist, but if you even leave 1 in it wont lift will only try twist.
There bolted down pritty firm from factory.
Didn't extend my sticks or cut my tunnel, just bent my sticks aswell. took me several goes to get the transfer one right, but i like it looks like a short shift

Of course it won't lift with a bolt still tight....cooky2511 wrote:ive undone all but the front 2. I didnt want to pull them all out at once just incase it moved out of alignment
Do one side then the other. I left all the bolts in one side (without nuts) and did side to side. Easy.
