Hi, I've got a 3.4L V6 prado with a 2" body lift. The air intake is something like this: [Air filter box]-[rubber hose A]-[Some other unknown box]-[rubber hose B]-[intake manifold]. Now there's a kink in 'rubber hose A' due to the lift. It seems like it is fairly restricted, so although I have been driving it that way for over a year now I think I should try sort it out!
Has anyone dealt with this before?
Does anyone know what the 'unknown box' is, and if I can discard of it and fit a hose from the manifold to the filter box? Because of this box, the two rubber hoses are quite short, and hence not flexy enough.
(BTW, the airflow sensor is on the filter box.)
(BTW2, I can't lower the filter box.)
