I want a cargo barrier in my 89 lwb GQ, its duel fuel and the bottle is in the back as seen in the pics,
Got a barrier today off a guy n it doesnt fit due to bottle.
Do companies make them to fit this or do i need a custom job?
P.S I now have a cargo barrier for a toyo mwb for sale due to not fitting...
Could you just move the barrier behind the gas bottle. I bought a GQ cargo barrier and I think I had some space to move it either back or forward and ended up having mine about an inch behind the middle row seats but could you install it behind the gas bottle?

You can. Mines out of a Falcon (cost me a bottle of red) & I modified it to fit. I was thinking of cutting it in half & making legs for it so I can still lay the seats down for lonng stuff but the car seat put paid to that.
I would cut it off below the middle cross brace and then make some legs to fit around your gas tank.

im with the others, 2mm sheet steel wont save you from 60 litres of gas going up.
as with the cargo barrier, cut it around the tank?
or move the tank?

To move the bottle outside is more of a drama as i'd loose learance underneath maybe and its just a hassle moving it, as said also, if it goes up ( havent heard of many doing it thou) if its under or in it aint gonna matter, either way i am toast.
I asked a mate today an he said he will cut an weld the barrier i have to fit, thanks everyone for yor ideas and views....
