anyone care to tell me what the 4psi rule is?
put air in your tyres drive for about an hour or so and then check your pressure again. If it has gone up by over 4psi the pressure is incorrect. Adjust as neccessary until correct. Do it a few times on different trips and you soon know what pressures to run in your tyres for different circumstances.

i run 18 to 20psi on road and as low as 8 off its a Suzuki sierra with nothing in it and 30inch tyers and it still is a ruff ride lol.
my dad has a GU patrol an he runs 42 in the front and 45 in the rear on 33inch mtz and its heaps smothe ride but he has every accessory you could get prity much so its alot heavier lol.
With my 305x70x16 BFG muds i run 38psi on road unloaded. If she is loaded up for a weekend away will punch the rear's up to 40psi. when i hit the beach loaded up for instance fraser, i run around 25psi. when i hit soft areas like indian head i air down to around 20 as those rim protectors are a real pita when it comes to leaking air. Once unloaded and running around along the beach go up to around 22-24 psi and dont have a drama.
With the 35x11.5x16 ET2's I ran them on the road twice (now trailer them for obvious reasons) at 30psi. Offroad they come down to around 12-
14psi.
My little Honda Civic i run 36 in the front and 34 in the rear .
