filtered frog

Post by christover1 »

finally got round to upgrading the fuel filters to efi type. I figure they got to work better, and for longer. I was expecting them to be a little dear, so I waited. I was wrong, if anybody wants an in-line fuel filter for 5/16ths lines, then Z200 Ryco Premium EFI fuel filter to suit Ford, Holden & Nissan only cost me $13 from East Coast in Ringwood. Have been known to pay that much for a normal one (which I go thru very quickly). only issue is steel cannister, hard to see thru, not sure when to change it, so my second filter up near the carb is the standard cheap see thru type, prob solved. sometimes ya win, christover

Might be an idea to put one of the clear cheap and nasties first (fuel tank end) to get rid of most of the junk (you'll be able to see when it needs to be changed) and keep the better steel canister type second (carbie end) and change that every 2-3 changes of the cheapie.

It seemed like a good idea, but the carby end is only 1/4" line, and the new efi filter is for 5/16th" so it go other way around. I imagine an efi filter would be hard to find in 1/4" ? christipover
