Aluminium checker plate
What is the lightest gauge ally checkerplate available, something to dress up sill panels ?
You can get some .6mm stuff around but it's not really a true checkerplate pattern and is pretty crappy given the thickness. it's the stuff Jayco used on their outback vans.
1.6mm is most common. Propeller plate from memory might come in 1.2 been a long while since we used any. It's the mirror shiney stuff and has single opposed checks as opposed to checkerplate which is 5 bars.
Botjh would take a little bit of work to bend around a sill though if you don't have access to bender or rollers but can be done.

Its it PURELY FOR APPEARANCE then you can buy self adhesive vinyl in imitation checker plate. Looks like the real thing unless you look closely.
Sold by signwriting supply companies.

It seemed like a much better idea when I started it than it does now.
