drive shafts?!
drive shafts?!
GQ 3L and GQ 4.2 diesel
are they the same flange on the drive shafts and diffs?
have a GQ 3L thats had a 4.2 box and tcase put in
and tryin to mate up a drive shaft but not working?

4.3 and 4.6 centres use the same ones
3.9 and 4.1 centres are the same ones

but you have to be sure that you have the front and the back end of teh shaft the right way.
when you place the shaft on the ground the bearing retainers should be clocked exactly the same on the font half and the back half.
something to keep in mind though is that you tailshaft balance will be less than ideal doing it this way as the front end and the back end are foreign. ( 9 times out of 10 you will not notice the difference.)
Personally , if i were you i would get a pinion flange from a 4.1 or 3.9 ratio centre and the tailshaft from teh same and slot them in. ( the tailshaft is beefier aswell)

Are the flanges interchangeable from small to big on the diff centres??
