CITY-VIEW TRIALS 4th & 5th OCT * NOW FREE FOR CLASS C *

Post by cityview »

I am looking at running round 2 of the trials some time in Sept or Oct.

I have heard that XWCS Round 3 is mid October and Tough Tracks Round 3 is the last weekend of September. I was thinking the weekend before Bathurst , thats October 4th and 5th. Does that date work for most people ? Are there any other events on during those months ?

Please post up responses here.

Looks like the 4th and 5th it will be. Tough Tracks round 3 is the weekend before and Bathurst is the week after , followed by round 3 of the XWCS. Then its the only weekend available in Oct.

The last round of the trials is set for Nov 29/30 , but the 3rd round of the SSS winch series may also be set for that date soon , so if that happens we may bring it forward a couple of weeks or put it in early Dec. Your thoughts ??

Cheers

Booked but not posted anywhere with that date , it was changed (earlier this year) in another thread , as you said when you PM'd me. Anyway for those who dont have a cage , rego (class C only) or want to go that far , the TRIALS will stay on the 4th and 5th. And for the spectators , come and watch only 1/2 hour south of Browns Plains.

NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN (0424568886)

Im sick of trying to be helpful and put my events around Tough Tracks , this event and others when they are not posted or on the calandar at the beginning of the year (or get the date changed) In this case they will clash and unfortunately thats the way it will stay. I have already moved it once. I hope this doesnt inconvienience any competitors and appologise if it does , but at least we agree on one thin Shayne , we have a healthy ammount of events this time of year here in QLD.

This round of the trials the course is based around camp 1 , including the main creek run. (creek runs are always very popular)

I hope we get a few class C trucks as I have several extreme sections I would like to see them drive.

See you all next weekend.

PS I need some volunteers , first in best dressed (free entry if you help)

Unfortunately , No Rego = Class C

If it were regoed then it would still be Class C unless you havent driven it in any other comp and no-one protests you being in a lower class. It would have to be Class B because you would have an illegal lift (greater than 1/3 the std spring travel) to get the 33's under it , and if you have cut the outer guards at all to clearance the 33's (radius cuts , not 1/4 cuts for approach and departure angle) that would put you in Class C too.

You should come anyway , there are not that many Class C small cars , so if you use your head and the scoring rules you could still take a place , even unlocked. Hey and its fun. Remember you dont have to kill your truck , you can attempt or bypass and take a penalty instead of DNF the stage , and remember its not a timed event except for the 10 second rule.

Hopefully see you there.
