don't stress Dudelux....sorry germo. buy one of them cheap low mount winches up to 9000lb...make sure your bar has some extra mounts...and spend the rest on a locker and you'll find you won't be needing that winch much...but its good insurance. seriously people, check out the premiers....some nice goodies inside!

hope this is the right section figured it was better than making a new topic.

trying to get my winch working at the moment, bought it like the photos show and it doesnt have the plugs. trying to find which wires to connect at the moment, been trial and erroring but all it does is clicks.

there is a red, white and black wire off the main box.

and a black white and green wire from the controller

can someone tell me which wire is sposed to go to which? if i can get that right i can continue on my fault finding.

the white wire should be + power then it feeds its through the black or the red depending on direction.

ok i have found that the white wire on the hand controll is constant and the green is retract (according to the pic on the remote), and black is to feed out the cable, but when i connect them it clicks and there is smoke coming from where the neutral conects to the controll box on the winch, anyone got a wiring diagram for this type of winch or a pic of here thewires should go?

removed all, cleaned with emery tape and crc still no luck, i connect it up and the right solanoid makes a loud clicking sound when the controller is pushed to retract, my guess is solanoids are fucked, anyone else had this problem?
