1.6 + Auto + twin transfers
Re: 1.6 + Auto + twin transfers
I have twins in my car behind a manual box. The alignment between the two cases is critical. depending on what you want to do with the car as to weather it's worthwhile.Pixie-LWBZOOK wrote:Hi all, looking at putting a 1.6 + Auto + Vit transfer case married to Sierra Transfer into my WT Lwb.

Personally in a daily driven trail type vehicle i'd just go diff and transfer gears(4.5-5:1 range) with 34-35" tyres. But it really depends on what you want to do.
Twin cases is not an easy set up, mine were done in someone's driveway in NSW with an arc welder and junk yard parts. The coupler has failed and the mounting isn't the best. Joe's mounting looks pretty good but has spent lots of time and has done many different versions to get it right.
