seatbelt retracting fix.
seatbelt retracting fix.
Read in another thread that patrol owners stick a zip-tie around the belt at the shoulder swivel to stop it retracting when on cambers/angles when offroading…
Anyone know if this or any other tricks/tips to set the seatbelts at a set length will work in a zuk and stop them retracting so they can be put back on easily? (short of replacing them with non-retractables or a harness?)

All the gear, No idea...
Clothes pegs or bulldog clips work and are cheap but I bought some plastic seatbelt clips from Autobarn a few years back for a few dollars. They can't get knocked off by accident. I think they were Matrix.

i used to work at a department store so i knocked off a security tag(a pin and a big button looking thing) so it cant get retracted, only problem is getting one
edit for below post: put it somewhere in between the retractable length so it doesnt interfere with the belts safety features. For easy removeable, use a clothes peg.

The locking mechanism works two ways.spzook wrote:does anyone know how to 'unlock' seatbelts. they have been taken out of the zook and now i cant get them to pull back out.
1, It locks the belt when you try to pull it out quickly.
2, It locks the belt when the vehicle is on an angle.
Hold the retractor reel upright as it would be in the car and pull slowly, the belt should unreel as usual.
