Hilux Electrical Probs

Post by kanookie »

Ive got a few probs with my ln65 hilux. the dash and tail lights now dont work havent really checked it out yet but hoping its just the fuse but if not what could it be? second my dash lights for charge,t belt and filter stay on at times....and last of all the most annoying problem is the glow timer im thinking it will sometimes glow like normal or it will show the dash light for glow and click straight away as like it would if the plugs were hot or it just wont make any noise and no glow light will show up on the dash. would it fix some of my probs if i just changed the instrument cluster? any info on how to fix these probs would be good thanks

Dash and tail lights, start with the fuse.
the charge, t-belt and filter on intermitantly, i would think an alternator or regulator fault.

The Glow fault, Could be related to the Alt fault, if not easiest way to fix would be to bypass the timer and use a push button on the dash to activate the glow relay.
