HZJ75 Cruiser rim options.

Post by Dane »

I am changing from 7.50 x 16 splitties to tubeless tyres on the Cruiser and want to run a 7 x 16 steel rim with some negative offset to widen the track a bit while I'm at it. I have looked into new steel wheel manufacturers but can only get about 6mm neg offset per wheel and I would prefer more.

So I'm after suggestions for a tough, good looking factory steel wheel in 7 x 16 six stud Landcruiser pattern, that has some negative offset. A photo would be great if you could include one with your suggestions.

Any particular reason you want to stay with a 16x7 ?

Just that there is an abundance of cheap 15x8 rims about with a -23ish offset and tyres for that size rim are pretty cheap too.

G'day hulsty, I want to stay with a skinny tyre and have already chosen what tyres I am going to buy, which are pretty cheap. 8 inch is too wide and I don't think you can get skinny, tall tyres in 15 inch although I have not researched that.
