have you asked your dealer?? they will tell you somethign different, but your dealer is the one you will have to deal with.
One bloke on here was told that his GU changing exhaust would shitcan warranty, but then others have been told its fine. hes at cape york at moment, so cant speak up
snorkels are fitted by nissan so cant see that causing issues with warranty, but dont expect more power with one...
see I have spoken to the dealership and they are pretty much kinda unable, I am unsure, well I don't know, but a friend of mine, who knows this guys (get where I am going????)
So I thought I would ask you battlers as I don't want to do the wrong thing here, and I am only looking at a snorkel for better highway performance/ economy. I realise the $600 for a snorkel won't make that much difference and would never add to that much of a saving but every little bit counts.
Might just fit a exhaust and stienbauer chip and only go to kerry's for warranty work after I take the module and the exhaust off.
any modification to the exhaust or intake can void your warranty unless its a factory fitted part. heres an idea keep you standard exhaust and if you have issues refit it before you take it back to nissan then their none the wiser. If you fit a steinbaur module and nissan see it you can kiss any warranty you had goodbuy again just take it out if you have any issues. trust me mate their not rocket scientists.
So far that is my idea. Get a Nissan fitted snorkel, then fit an exhaust and stienbauer.
With any dramas get the car serviced at Nissan for waranty work after removing the exhaust and stienbauer, and get the servicing done at K-mart, or Repco.
if its the 2.5 diesel i guess its the variable turbo one.
one thing to watch is changing exhaust changes how the turbo operates.
i would fit boost guage and EGT guage before doing any mods, doubly so with any motor with variable turbo's.
