Hey guys and gals,
I have posted about this before with no luck but rego is coming up and i still havnt solved the problem.
Basically my horn hazard fuse keeps blowing but i have some odd things happening. Such as:
- The fuse has constant 12v going across it even when the ignition is off
- When high beams are on there is only 0.5 volts going across it and i can put a fuse in and the horns work
- without the fuse in the drivers indicators are playing up in that the rear one doesnt work (so i get the rapid blinking of the others)
- the hazards DO work if the high beams are on (yes without a fuse in) however on the drivers side it is only the rear one that blinks (as opposed to if i turn the right ones on normally in which case all but the rear one works)
Lookin at the pages in the manual BE-33 and BE-23 i have so far pulled all my hair out trying to figure this out. I have disconnected the horns, thier switch and the hazard switch (as it appears that this is where all the light route through) trying to isolate the short but no combination of these things has any affect on the 12v going through the fuse.
In recent times prior to this problem (but not instantaneous to it) i replaced the rear lights with side mounted ones (instead of the ones in the bumper) and also installed a CB radio.
i am 100% out of ideas and hair and could really use some advice.
thanks

ok i managed to fix some of the problems and get it down to a sizable problem.
now i only have a problem with my right indicators. when the hazards are on the left side is fine but only the drivers side rear is working and when i indicate right normally the front and side indicators work but the rear doesnt and it flashes fast.
Also i can get all the lights working if i have the hazards on and the stick in the right indicating position.
could this simply be a problem with the hazard switch as it seems like all the indicators filter through this.
thanks
also would anyone have a spare hazard switch for a 94' feroza? thanks
if anyone is interested manula BE36 has a diagram that could help you help me
thanks again

Hi, I have a 94 model Feroza I am wrecking for parts for my own car. You can have the hazard switch for $20.
The car is at my mates workshop in Guildford (Sydney West). He's an auto electrician so you can also ask him if he can fix your problem while your there.
If you want the switch, email me at sandysirol@yahoo.com.au.
