Jimny opinions?

Post by ashhash »

Hey all

Im looking at getting another small 4x4, just wondering what people think about the Jimny?

I used to have a Sierra and was very happy with it.

Any advice, pro's & cons etc appreciated.

Cheers

Ahh I should have quantified it a bit, I know how these "whadaya think" threads go.. ;p)

Im trading in a basically new vehicle to pay for it which means I need to buy a new car too.

Im not going to mod the hell out of it.

Im not going to be doing super hardcore offroad.

The Sierra sucked on road, the ride was terrible - my back couldn't handle another one.

The new Jimny is a Kool little 4by and if you are not going to bash the hell out of it or try and put 31" tyres on it you are asking the wrong people!!
I on the other hand think Jimnys Rule. If you do wish to extreme offroad they are still a good option, every mod is an effort and costs a bit, the public love to see these trucks compete just there is not enough of them out there doing the tough stuff.

If you are after a cheap to run daily driver that is a fun toy with minimal mods on the weekend, you can't go wrong.

Just chuck in a 2" suspension lift and some 215's - you are set to play anywhere a stock Sierra would get you.

This is what the suggested package will give you:

i also have found them way better than sierra's on and off road if as above you dont go too extreme. they are miles more comfortable, slightly bigger in room , more stable and come with more mod cons.

cheers mark
