DAZ,

Are your rear guards cut up that high ?

If so, what have you done to the inner tub ?

Thanks

I was wondering what peoples thoughts where on springs the standard springs came with the diffs and i was thinking of haveing them streched longer would they work OK ? my experiance till now has been leaves i would have thought 80 serries after market springs would be to hard a ride and hard to compress as well .

As far as I know Daz both gerard and adam both run OME 2 inch lift springs in their 80`s and they both flex ok.

It's started the fun and games , i rang the enginer who did my car three years ago he dosn't do VIC any more the only one i can find won't have a preliminary look before i start car for at least 6 weeks dose anyone know of or has used a VIC road approved enginer they could refer . I live in Shepparton so needs to be accesable from there plus would like someone who travels around to hopefuly inspect it at my house atleast for preliminary inspection as it would be hard to take diffs with me for first inspection . Other wise i will wait for the enginer i spoke to yesterday he seamed fairly good on phone just busy and i will have trailer diffs with me to Bendigo to see him . I think this is what will end up happening but if there is any other options i would be glad to here them thanks .

youd probably be better off gettin longer coils rather than streching the old ones as they will sag again, get coils a inch bigger than you want it to sit and it will sag down. that way you get better droop travel.
also ring kevin williams if you havent already, he could steer you in the right direction.

DAZ wrote:I am also weighting till after issue 64 of 4wD monthly has come out to start work as it is featured in it and it may make it easyer to sell the things i am tacking off it . As i mentioned before im not starting anything till the enginer has had his input as he has been involved up to now .

I can post photos of details as it sits now if you like it has 75 serries troopy rear springs with single track bar and diff sitting 4" back, standard front with reverse shackel diff sitting 2" forward .

Darren
