ANY front locker for 3L V6 Pajero??

Post by muffins »

I've got a 94 Pajero 3L V6 auto. Of course my model is the only one with no front air locker available! So are there ANY alternative diff locks available at all???

Otherwise i thought i read somewhere that the air locker for the slightly larger 8" diff (RD110) can be made to fit?

Your Paj has a 7.5" front diff, for which no locker is available. The 8" diff from the manual will fit, and is a relatively simple swap, although you'll need a few other bits from the donor vehicle too. It's been discussed here relatively recently - try trolling through the first few pages of the forum.

Edit: From the FAQ:

Front arb locker installed. 8inch genII housing swaps in!!
Front Locker for NJ Auto (Now in FAQ... :D )

Good luck,

I've got an ARB RD110 in the front of my Gen I. It originally had the smaller diff but I swapped in a Gen I V6 8" diff, along with the mounts and CV axles. I'm not sure about the Gen II, but on mine I had to have the front drive shaft shortened by about 1.5" at a driveline shop. Other than that, the rest was pretty much a bolt-in.
