80 Series Rear Wheel Carrier

Post by BIG PUMPER »

looking for a wheel carrier without spending the big bucks of an ARB rear bar plus wheel carrier, its gotta hold a 35" MTR, i've seen a couple on ebay which can fit to the body as a swing away, has anyone had experience with these while running 35's?, any other not too expensive options??

I got a Kaymar rear wheel carrier when I got LPG fitted. I run 33's and it has no trouble with them so I can't imagine 35's would be much different.

if you have a base model with barn doors then a pajero carrier bolted and plated through the door skin holds my 35 claw on nicely

I made my own and bolted it through my barn doors.... the hinges really aren't up to it. Have a look at the door hinges on a Patrol... they are huge compared to the Toyota ones.
Worked ok for a while... but not the best idea.
