The wires snapped off at the base but I want to get it going before I can source a new one so can I drive fine with the switch in but not connected to the wires? This would just mean I don't have a light telling me when I'm in 4wd would it not?
Wont make a difference. I havent had one for years (wires busted). Just remember you wont have a light to tell you that 4wd is engaged.
Layto....

I'm sure I won't get mixed up with the twin sticks
Well got the new rims on, i have full left lock and almost full right, will rub but wont hook the leef now turning right. An it's given just enough for it to flex fully, ideal would be a nother -20 tho =(.............
Nother question has anyone put a E15et in a zook? found they bolt to a 60 series datto box. or 120y lol. cheap lil turbo motor!!

1.65 AFAIK.
I'm very happy with mine.

Ok guys on the way to work this morning the gearbox shifter in my zook felt very strange going into third. It seemed to go further toward the firewall than ever before. Then on the way home it felt crap again and ended up getting stuck in 5th with side to side movement but will not come out of gear. Thankfully low rang 2wd got me home
Now I assume a poly shifter sheet is something I should buy along with a new bolt/shifter assembly from suzuki? But what exactly am I after from suzuki.
Also could this have done permanant damage to my gearbox? I assume I have to find all parts of the broken bolt.
Pull the stick out and take a look, you'll probably find it is just the sheet?? If it is the bolt as well then opening the box to retrieve bits would be best, to eliminate further problems. Last thing you want is loose bits flying around in there
Righto well that is a relief then. I will buy a new bolt while I'm at it aswell. Anyone know of a place that can get me a poly shifter sheet by the end of the week? Otherwise I am gonna have to get genuine.
Another quick question regarding the seal on the rear axle assembly
after you've taken the bearing and retaining ring off and drum backing plate
you put the Drum plate on first, then the seal with spring facing the differential side, then bearing with spaced side facing drum and then the retaining ring with chamfered side facing differential?
is that corrent? My main concern is the placement of the seal
thanks

No dude. The seal goes into the axle tube. Bearing and retainer is pressed onto axle. Axles slides into tube.
OK. Awesome, I did one side and then thought about it.... reason being when i disasembled it, after taking the bearing off a bit of plastic came off after, but this must have being the old bearing seal and nothing more..
As it is now, there is no rubber cushioning between the chassis and body. Before you put the BL in, (ie - when it was standard) there was! Setting it up the same as mine is the go (this will also give you a bit more lift).

91 Sierra soft-top. My Members thread: http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=169128
I just bought a 93 vitara soft top. Does anyone know the best way to fit spotties across the roof and still keep the soft top in 1 piece.
I haven't been able to find any clear pics of zook soft tops with roof spotties that still have the original back seats.
I was thinking might just need a roof rack to put them on?
Any help would be awesome!
