Was talking to a mate the other day and he read something in a suspension catalogue about GQ LWB and GU ute springs being the same part number and GU LWB standard duty and GQ LWB heavy duty springs being the same.
Now, if this is correct and i found someone who upgraded thier GU LWB springs and stuck the old GU ones under my GQ would that give me heavier springs?
Not looking for a big lift just some more carrying capacity for toury stuff
Anyone know what the weight difference is between a GU LWB - prob 3.0td (pretty common) and a GQ DX td42 is?
by my way of thinking if its about 3-400kgs, i should then be able to put 3-400kgs of stuff in my GQ and it will sit and ride like an unladen GU!?
Can probably get a set for scrap value and then would run koni or bilstein shocks(with money saved) - probably too good to be true
