Cruiser Won't start

Post by just cruizin' »

My n/a 1HZ diesel105 Series cruiser won't start, turns over fine but simply won't fire. Never hard a problem before, turn the key to on for a couple of seconds then start and it fires first time every time, now nothing. Thinking either glow plugs or fuel, any ideas.

check for power at the fuel shutoff solenoid terminal (top of fuel pump towards back). it may be a blown fuse for that circuit, seems to happen randomly on some 1HZ's.

if there is power there, check for fuel delivery by cracking one injector line at the injector and cranking - there should be a fair spray of fuel. if only a dribble, your fuel shutoff isn't opening.

Definately in the fuel system, primed it for a bit and it started. First time something like this has happened, I'll let it stand for a bit and try again. Hopefully just a random thing
