Hi,
Ive recently purchased a york 2 cylinder self lubricating compressor ,
now i need to get it mounted, and would like some info from anyone else who has done this.
my truck is a 1992 escudo (vitara) with a 16 valve injection motor. Ive already removed the air-con as it was broken anyway, so i have some mounting holes on the block. would just like some advise before i go in headfirst incase someone has an easy and reliable way of doing things.
pics too please!!
cheers

Anyone fitted a 'York' air compressor to their Vitara??
hi,
its basically what im doing, but the york compressor is a twin piston type compressor and much bigger (height-wise) than a suzuki air-con compressor. it also has a sump so it lubricates itself, meaning i dont need to run lube through my air circuit.
the compressor ive got is a 210 series york, which is a 10 cubic inch displacement (about 169cc i think) and it can blow a 31" 4x4 tyre up from 10 to 40 psi in about 30 seconds!!
the problem ive got is mounting the thing to the block. there's not a lot of room because of the extractors, p/s pump etc. also i think i will need to run a multi-v (serpentine) belt and pulleys.
im after some pics of one mounted to a suzuki to see how these problems have been overcome. i can do it, but i was hoping that any problems i may have, have already been sorted by someone else, then i can pinch their ideas!!!
cheers
