J top shock lengths

Post by jop »

Hello all,

Does anyone have any info on shock lengths for a j top with the factory hydro lift mechanism, either factory length or good replacement part numbers?

Cheers

They are the same as a normal Pajero, both LWB & SWB. Pull a rear one out, about a 10 minute job.

There is a thread here somewhere with the lengths, called Frank and Ranchos. Its proabably about 5 years ago.

I also did some measuring last year. But can't for the life of me find it.

The front suspension has upper and lower stops to limit the travel. The factory hydro lift is equivalent to a torsion bar crank - it adjusts where the suspension sits between these stops.

Doesn't offer additional travel.
