I thought they were the same as engine mounts. the last one I purchased I am sure was less than $50. Have you tried some Melbourne LR suppliers? I am sure you could get it shipped to you within a day or two.

$22 was the price i paid for them at ricks on the goldy a couple months back, there is a slight difference between the box mounts and the engine mounts, box mounts are actually $3 cheaper than the engine mounts. A lot of people just use the engie mounts as it seems a lot of people are not aware you can buy both, the only difference is that box mounts have a larger size thread in them.
I thik someone is trying to stitch you up on the price???

Maybe the TDI's have different ones?

People are talking about the V8 rangie/v8 disco 1 engine mounts in this case, which they are correct, are the same as the gearbox mounts for same model car.
However, yours has the Series 2 disco style gearbox mounts.... which is odd, I didn't remember any series 1 having those style, but anyway. You could try secondhand out of a series 2, as most wrecked series 2s have been used only on the road and very rarely bugger the gearbox mount.
84 Rangie, 3 inch spring lift, 2 inch body, Megasquirted 4.6, R380, rear Maxi, 34x11.5 JT2s. Simex FM installed.
from what i gather from a bit of research the 300tdi had the later style mounts my disco also had the later model dash etc mine is a late 94 model

FWD in Brisbane sell them for about $16 each. Terrible quality though. Have to be real careful not to strip the thread.
I have the QT engine mounts for my V8 Disco1. Can also be used as gearbox/transfer mounts. Transmit a bit more vibration but you won't break them.
I got them from Rovacraft in Perth. http://www.qtservices.co.uk/product.asp?id=2694
