can anyone who has had a GQ LWB chopped to a dual cabby shed some light on where they had it done, any problems and how much. Thanks. Any help will be good.

we just did my old mans last weekend it should cost us about $500 to get it to the stage were its ready to paint. but i have heard of them costing any were from 5 - 10 grand to get a panalbeater to do it.

but that is pretty much drive in and drive out. fully engineered and 100% road legal. nothing else to do. engineering costs 4-5k

mine has cost me 80 for plain 6mm sheet 30 for polycarb window and 30 bucks for aabit of rubber seal. plus a couple of coins for the rhs support between the rear pillar.

things u need to know is, when wleding rear panel only weld in 4-6 stiches and then leave 6 inches then start again otherwise you will warp the steel. also make sure you put in a cross brace either rhs or round pipe just above the wheel arches for support.

give it a go mate, thats the only way you will learn

you could try Paul at Patrolapart in Lilydale. Not sure if he still does them but even if he doesnt he could give you costs and who to go through.
He originally did mine and i am happy with the work and finish of the conversion
