Steve.
My FAIL.
Sorry, I got confused, it seems the 2L SWB is 51L, and the LWB 1.6 is 55L, and V6 LWB is 70L.
Some corrected numbers:
assuming you speedo/trip meter is 100% accurate with 205/75R15 standards, you 300km figure is about 14% out with 31" tyres.
therefore real distance = 342km (from 300km measured by tripmeter)
Now using the 42L fuel tank capacity:
fuel economy ~ 8.1 km/L (12.3 L / 100km)
Much better, though still not great.
Sorry everybody for the confusion. Hope thats better.

Most tanks will not allow you to acutally get the whole capacity of fuel used, so allow a few litres for this and use say ~37L in your calculations (5 litres unusable, or still in tank at time of fill) and you getHighway-Star wrote:Gwagensteve wrote:SWB carby/1.6 EFI vitara tank is 42 litres.

~11L/100km (9.09l/km). When suzuki boy gets back to us with a proper fuel usage vs distance traveled figure we will know, but pushing 31's on standard gearing, and only being used for 4wding (no highway cruise style driving to provide good economy) that figure doesnt seem that bad.
Layto....

I just outright lose
Yeah Layto, I wasn't 100% sure on how suzuki boy measured his fuel economy exactly. I realise It wasn't the normal way like you recomended to him on the previous page. 9km/L would be quite acceptable for the vehicle, agreed.
