3.2 V6 Jackaroo surging

Post by molch »

Hi,

I have just bought a 92 v6 jackaroo. Its auto, and is running 285/85's.

It seems fine around town with a slight hesitation between 2500 to 3000 but when cruising ont he freeway and sitting on these revs it looses power completely.

Any idea's??? Fuel filter, sensor somwhere??

Cheers

Hi Molch,
I had a similar problem with my 3.5l V6 manual 2001 Jackaroo and it was even worse on warm to hot days. Try replacing your fuel filter first, this would fix mine for a while then it would come back. It ended up being my fuel pump.

Sell it quick and dont let anyone test drive it on the freeway!

Nah just kidding. Is there a vacuum leak somewhere? Hopefully its not a burnt valve or two. Get a compression test.
