Brake Master Cylinder

Post by aussydluke »

Hey Guys,

My brake light keeps coming on.. I have change the front pads and bled the fluid and it was ok for a couple of weeks and now the light is back on again..

Looks like a leak from the master cylinder... how much am I looking at to buy a new master cylinder and where should I look??

Thanks,
Luke

Hi Luke, I had the master cylinder go on me a little while ago.. pretty sure it only cost something like $36 from repco... any parts dealer should be able to supply one for your car

hi, i found that the float switch was sticking in mine. you could try giving it a bit of a clean. i just pushed it down a few times and that seemed to free it up.

if you know for sure that it is leaking then forget what i just said
cheers
